The agreement between you and us.

Last updated November 1, 2026. GameRecord is made by nCore (“we”). These terms are written so a 12-year-old can read them, and they are the whole agreement.

The short version

GameRecord is a private app for a family, offered by invitation. Using it means you agree to these terms.
Kids use it with a parent's permission; the family code is that permission.
What you put in is yours. You can delete it, or your whole account, any time.
Be decent: don't record people without asking, don't try to read what isn't yours.
It's free. The AI can be wrong. It isn't medical, mental health or any other kind of professional advice.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By making an account or using GameRecord, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy, which is part of them. If you don't agree, don't use the app. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian agrees for you; they do that by giving you the family code or setting up your account.

2. Who can use it

GameRecord is for families. Each family gets a code from a parent in that family, and a person can belong to one family at a time. Right now we offer it by invitation only, and we can say no to an invite request or close a family for any reason, with notice. You need to be able to read and understand these terms to agree to them yourself; otherwise a parent does.

3. Your account

One account is one person. Don't share your password, and don't sign in as someone else.
Give us a real email address, so we can reach you about your account. We don't send anything else to it.
If you think someone else is using your account, change your password (Me, then Sign out; then Forgot your password on the sign-in page) or write to us.
Parents in a family can confirm each other; only a confirmed parent can read a kid's to-do side. Don't confirm someone as a parent unless they are one.

4. Your content

Everything you write, say, record or upload in GameRecord (your “content”) stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the app for you: to store it, show it back to you and to the people you chose to share it with, send it to the speech and AI services named in the privacy policy, and back it up. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. We never use your content to train AI, to advertise, or for anything other than running the app.

You're responsible for what you put in. Only share things about other people that you'd be comfortable saying to them. The app lets you record a clip or type anything; that doesn't make it ours, and it doesn't make it right to record someone who didn't agree.

5. What not to do

Don't record or write about other people without their knowledge, outside your own family.
Don't use the app to bully, threaten or hurt anyone, inside or outside the family.
Don't try to read, change or delete anything that isn't yours, or to get around the app's sharing rules.
Don't try to break the app, overload it, copy it, or use automated tools against it.
Don't use it for anything against the law.

If an account does these things we can suspend or close it. If a person in the family is being hurt, we may also tell a parent in that family; we don't read content to look for this, but we act on reports.

6. Fees

GameRecord is free. There are no payments, subscriptions or purchases in the app. If that ever changes, people using the app will hear about it in the app at least 30 days before anything is charged, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.

7. The coach and the AI

The coach in the app uses AI to turn what you said into facts, suggest three things for tomorrow, write an example sentence, or ask one question back. It suggests; it never decides, grades or rates. It can be wrong, miss things, or misunderstand. Nothing it says is medical, mental health, legal, financial, educational or sports advice, and it isn't a substitute for a person. If someone in your family needs help, talk to a person you trust or a professional. In the United States, 988 can be called or texted any time.

8. Our content

The app itself, its design, characters, words and code belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You may use the app as it's meant to be used; you may not copy, sell or resell it, or make something from it that isn't yours. Open-source parts of the app carry their own licenses, which we honor.

9. Ending

You can stop using GameRecord any time, and delete your account under Me, “Delete my account”. That removes everything in it right away, as the privacy policy describes. We can close an account that breaks these terms, or close the whole service, with at least 30 days' notice in the app when it isn't about a broken rule, and enough time to get your things out.

10. No warranty

GameRecord is offered as it is and as available. We work to keep it up, correct and safe, but we don't promise that it will always be available, free of bugs, or right. We don't promise any result from using it. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties, expressed or implied.

11. Limits on what we owe

To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential damages from using the app or from not being able to use it, including lost content, and our total responsibility to you for anything about the app is limited to one hundred US dollars or what you paid us in the past year, whichever is more (right now, you've paid nothing). Some places don't allow these limits, and there they apply only as far as the law lets them.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, the app will say so at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Using the app after that means you agree to the new terms. The date at the top is the current version.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If we have a disagreement, write to us first; we'll try to work it out within 30 days. If that doesn't work, disputes are settled in the state or federal courts in Solano County, California, and both of us agree to those courts.
